Waking up to a text from my Dad one morning saying he was taking me, my brother and sister out to breakfast one morning seemed quite ordinary- although we've never actually done that before... We went for pancakes and to Bradgate park for the morning.
Meanwhile, little did I know what was going on as soon as I left the house.
All the troops (all my Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Grandad, dogs...) had been called in to help prepare for this American Themed send off!
I returned to find my entire extended family and pets dressed in red, white and blue, cowboy hats and American flags all in the garden and my very own outfit laid out for me.
My sisters were cheerleaders from Glee!!
Obviously all the food was American style: burgers, waffles, popcorn, fries, watermelon and Mississippi mud pie which went down a treat.
Such an incredible day, and yet another surprise pulled off by my family! I must be totally oblivious to not notice them plotting..
With take off in two days, I'm gonna miss this crazy bunch but I'll be ready for the madness to kick off again at Christmas. Thank you to everyone who came and see you soon!!!
