Day 2 was pretty exciting for me as we were headed to the upper east side- home of Blair, Chuck and Serena. First we went to Trader Joes to grab some snacks for a picnic later. Taylor’s friend Brady met us there and we chose crisps, hummus and lots of fruit. After nipping back to the apartment to pack up our things for the day, we got on the subway (like true new yorkers). We exited the subway right next to central park but first took a walk around to see the buildings close by including the plaza hotel.
We walked through central park for a while before finding a good lawn to sit down and set out our stuff. Taylor brought the speaker to play some music and we sat talked for ages which was so nice.
Soon Taylor’s other friend Kelly arrived who lives in this area so she is the central park expert! She took us to see the iconic fountain and then onto the met steps.
We continued to walk around this area then decided to get back on the subway. The subway was packed which meant they turned into an express route that missed out some stops- including ours. We got off at the stop before thinking that was kind of annoying but to our amazement it was actually grand central station so that worked out
We walked back to the apartment, changed, grabbed some of new york’s largest pizza slices and made our way to the new york comedy club. How classic is that for a night in NYC?! The show was so funny with around 7/8 upcoming comedians, each talking about different topics . We laughed the entire night it was so much fun!
