Day 2: Grand Canyon

The next morning we got up early, made breakfast and packed up the trailer ready to leave for the Grand Canyon.

We stopped at the famous London Bridge in Havasu which is legitimately a bridge that was built in London and was brought over brick by brick to Arizona. Pretty crazy right.

And later we finally reached the Grand Canyon. We set up camp first ready for when we got back and then it was time for the big reveal. Our tour leaders Lisa and Rebekah suggested we wear paper bags with our faces drawn on so we didn't sneak peak on the way from the bus. I tried to capture the action but my face was bagged. It was the best way to see the Canyon for the first time!

This was our first view. Incredible.

We spent the afternoon hiking down into the canyon a bit and walking the south rim. I turned my phone off to save battery cus #camplife so no photos of the following activities.

But picture this. Our whole tour group eating takeaway pizza on the rim of the canyon as the sun went down. The American Dream right there.

Once the sun set it got really cold really quickly so we went back to camp and had a fire and s'mores.
We played camp fire games and talked until it felt really later when actually it wasn't even 10 o'clock.
It was a cold cold night but we got through it. Bring on the hotel in Vegas.

Speak soon,

Em x
