Day 5: Yosemite National Park

After packing down camp at Bishop, we headed off to Yosemite stopping briefly at Mono Lake, one of the oldest lakes in North America at almost 1 million years old. Me and Danae also bought matching Yosemite t shirts because yes.

Afterwards, we got into Yosemite and went to another picturesque lake to chill and take photos and swim (if you could brave the icy water).

We then went into the park for a hike to the bottom and back up again to see some massive trees that were thousands of years old. The heat was also much more bearable here compared to Death Valley!

We went to set up camp which was much hotter and went straight back out to the park.we took a photo stop at Yosemite Valley. Amazing views.

Then we went to senital Rock which is one of the highest points in Yosemite. We hiked all the way up to take photos and eat dinner while watching the sunset. Pretty amazing, hard to believe this actually happened.

Then this happened. Lion King moment. Topped of an amazing day!

We got back to the camp and had our last campfire together with s'mores and beer and ceremonial burning of presidential candidate merchandise.

Speak soon,

Em x
